Workpiece

Construction-machinery booms and arms. The line covers more than 20 workpiece types in the catalog and has operated across 22 product models in production.

Production Challenge

Multiple boom and arm models had to move from material loading through completed welding without relying on manual transfer and loading between processes.

AGR Solution

AGR combined robotic welding, robotic handling, automatic clamping fixtures, and a slat-chain conveyor into an in-factory production line.

Robotic welding, robotic handling, automatic clamping fixtures, slat-chain conveyor, vision positioning, sensors, weld/process-status monitoring, barcode/camera reading, automatic MES reporting, production traceability, visualization UI, and hydraulic fixtures.

Implementation

Applied in production at the AGR Group structural-parts factory.

Case Results

The line has produced more than 60 completed workpieces per 8-hour shift, reduced staffing from 56 operators to 12, and supported 22 product models. Results are specific to this line configuration.

Application Conditions

Similar heavy-gauge boom and arm welding applications can be assessed. Final applicability depends on workpiece conditions.

    A slat-chain conveyor connects the process stages.

    Automatic clamping and vision positioning establish the workpiece position.

    Inter-process transfer

    Handling robots move the workpiece to the next stage.

    Discharge

    The completed workpiece exits the line.
